For decorations, I made Ted\u2019s Believe sign and taped it to my entertainment center. To make it, I just taped two pieces of copier paper together. First, I painted BELIEVE in blue paint, and then I painted the background in yellow paint. It\u2019s a simple touch that added so much to the whole experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pad “Tie”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this first dish, our team is struggling to break their tie streak, and as a joke, the rival team sent them a large food delivery of Thai food. I wanted to add to this play on words by specifically serving Pad Thai. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To save time, I ordered takeout instead of making the dish. It’s also more accurate to order takeout since that’s what they were sent. But if you would like to make the pad thai yourself, here is a good recipe to follow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The iconic shortbread cookies make many appearances throughout Season 2, so I definitely had to serve them again. There were a lot of other dishes I cooked for this season, though, so I did opt to buy store-bought shortbread cookies instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam’s Smoky Jollof Rice<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used this specific TikTok video to learn how to make the jollof rice because it was my first time making it. They have the entire recipe in the caption, so you know the exact measurements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This recipe used beef for the protein, though, so below is how I made the chicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make the chicken, I cleaned 6 drumsticks and seasoned them with adobo all-purpose seasoning and jollof seasoning. Then I added some of the roasted pepper mix I made for the rice. I coated the drumsticks with that and cooked them in the oven for 2 hours at a low temp of 275 degrees F. This slow roasting process leaves the chicken super tender. Make sure to flip your chicken about an hour into the cooking process so it cooks evenly. After those two hours, turn the heat up to 350 degrees F so it can get nice and crispy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dani’s Ponche Navide\u00f1o<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was my first time ever making a Mexican Ponche, and I just became a forever fan. It tastes very similar to mulled wine but so much better in my opinion. It made me super excited to make it again this fall and winter. This is the recipe I followed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have a hard time finding the necessary fruits like tejocote (Mexican hawthorn), try finding a jarred version. I was able to find one with cane sugar, guava, and tejocote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this scene, he actually brings champagne, but I like buying these single-serving bottles of prosecco instead. He also brings foie gras, but I decided not to serve that when I looked up how it’s made. It’s very sad, so if you look it up, be prepared. \ud83d\ude41 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bought premade fried chicken from Publix. If you’ve had Publix Fried Chicken, you know how delicious it is. If you want to make it yourself, here is a good recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this scene, I used premade pita, beef kebabs, and tzatziki (all from Trader Joe’s), and added chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions. It was super delicious and easy to throw together, but if you want a more authentic doner kebab, ordering takeout is an option, or you can try out this recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secret Sandwich Switcheroo<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this season, I served a classic Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato sandwich, with a lavender lemon mojito. Because, as Rebecca’s mom would say, “When life gives you lemons, make Lavender Lemon Mojitos!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. To make the mojitos, muddle three wedges of lemon and about 6-8 mint leaves in a tall glass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Then add ice, one ounce of lavender syrup, and 2 ounces of white rum. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Fill the glass with lemonade, but leave some room on top to add a little Sprite or club soda on top. Stir before adding the club soda\/ Sprite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Garnish with a lemon wheel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    “Poor Little Cakes! Soggy Bottoms!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I HAD to include this scene. The side characters from the bar, especially Mae, are always a delight, and this scene is just so cute. I decided to serve a tres leches cake for this scene because it is notorious for having a soggy bottom LOL!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I bought this cake from a local Venezuelan bakery near my house, but it’s not that hard to make if you want to take the time to make it. Here is a good recipe you can follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A Ted Lasso Goodbye<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As soon as I watched this scene, I knew I wanted to recreate the little army guy in the beer glass. It’s so imposing but somehow charming. Just like Ted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To make the little army guy stick, I used double-sided tape. Stick one part to the army guy and one part to the bottom of the glass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I recommend setting this up the day before because the tape needs time to set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Heads or Tails<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I thought it would be fitting to end this rewatch with a dish dedicated to Dani’s full-circle moment. We started the season with him being responsible for a horrible accident (RIP Earl) that left him doubting his abilities. We end with him finally gaining his confidence back, and the camera focuses on the new puppy with a helmet on to prevent any more accidents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I thought it would be funny to serve cake pops that look like soccer balls and helmets to symbolize this cyclical theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Cake Pop Recipe<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Use this recipe to make the initial cake pop. I recommend making them flatter than spherical. It’s easier to decorate this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To make the helmet, cut a triangle out of the cake pop, kind of like how a Pac-Man looks. Then dip it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For the soccer ball, dip it in white chocolate. When it’s hardened, add chocolate dots throughout and then use a toothpick to draw the line and connect the dots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
